Thomas Wenning President
Thomas Wenning is Program Manager for Industrial Energy Efficiency at ORNL, leading DOE’s industrial assistance and deployment efforts in the U.S. and abroad. A licensed Professional Engineer he has achieved numerous national level professional accolades for his achievements in energy efficiency. As President of East Tennessee Chapter of AEE he leads chapter activities conceptualization and planning to enhance member and community engagement.
Alex Botts
Vice President
Alex Botts holds BS and MS degrees in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University (2017, 2019), with a minor in World Music. She is a Compressed Air systems expert and uses her expertise to make manufacturers more efficient. She is active across the energy and engineering community, including SWE, AEE, IISE, Alpha Pi Mu. As Vice President of East Tennessee Chapter of AEE she ensures smooth operations and leads communication and social media initiatives.
Subodh Chaudhari
Treasurer
Subodh Chaudhari is an R&D staff member and Technical Account Manager for DOE’s Better Plants Program at ORNL, partnering with manufacturers to cut energy use and waste. In his over 15 years of experience he has completed 160+ energy assessments across SMEs and energy-intensive multinationals. In his role as East Tennessee Chapter Treasurer, he helps keep the chapter organized financially.
Veronica Cunningham
Secretary
Veronica is an Energy and Utilities Analyst at Pilot Flying J based in Knoxville, Tennessee. She leads energy and utilities projects for corporate office and travel centers for Pilot Company. She has earned her MBA from Tennessee State University. She has served as secretary for East Tennessee Chapter for over 2 years.
